What is your job and when did you start here?
I work behind the scene as the donor secretary, and I’m responsible for keeping information current in the donor database. I started working part-time at The Promise FM in January, 2010. But first, I was a volunteer for a couple of months, and it was a no-brainer to accept my current position seeing how I was working with such wonderful people.

What is your favorite Bible verse? Reason you like it?
Matthew 6:21  “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also”  This verse reminds me to keep my heart firmly on my Savior, and to do good deeds for others to show my love for Him … to store up treasures in Heaven, and not on this earth.
Psalm 119:105  “Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.” How can I stumble or stray from the path God has set before me? How can I get lost on my journey when His word lights my way? But, too often, I stumble and stray, and His light brings me out of the darkness - back to the path He has set before me.

Tell us about your family and pets.

I’ve been married to a wonderful man, Craig, for over 32 years! Our girls are Lindsay and Tanya. We have one son-in-law, Ben, married to Lindsay, and they have a son – Zachary. He’s our only grandchild, a redhead at that, and we spoil him.
We have a lab mix dog, Roxie, who is quite spunky and loves to play. When we tell her no, she mopes around like her heart is broken.

Where else have you lived and worked?

I grew up in Freeland, MI. My first paying job was at Franks Nursery and Crafts in Saginaw, followed by some short-term waitress and hostess jobs. I then landed a position at Trippensee Corporation in Saginaw where they made globes of the world. My next job was at Michigan Bell Telephone and I was there about four years. We then moved to Beaverton, MI. After our girls were born, I was a stay-at-home mother for five years before going to work at The Dow Chemical Company in Midland. Twenty-four years later, I retired from Dow and moved to Gaylord.

If you could do anything else for a living, what else would you do?

Well, I write children’s books as a hobby and I’m trying to get published. So, if I had the $$ to stay home and work on my novels and picture books, I’d do that. Then I could market, market, market and sell my books so they could get into the hands of parents who love to read to their kids at bed-time. That sounds pretty wonderful to me. I’d like to do something with horses, as well. So perhaps I’d better start writing about horses.
