We see throughout scripture that the number 40 often represented struggle. It rained for 40 days and 40 nights for Noah. The Israelites spent 40 years in the wilderness. Goliath mocked the Israelites for 40 days. Jesus fasted for 40 days while being tempted. But without fail, 41 came. Biblically, the number 41 signifies the end of struggle, a time of renewal, and a new beginning.

At Northern Christian Radio, big plans were being made to honor 40 years of lifechanging radio and the many ways God has sustained us along the way.
We were even nominated for a CMB Station Of The Year Award and were making plans to celebrate that amazing recognition with you, our listener and supporter.

Then, almost 40 years to the day after the birth of our station, the ice storm that crippled Northern Michigan delivered us a catastrophic blow, when the tower for our flagship station collapsed under the weight of the ice. In an instant - all plans and celebrations came to a halt. As we all work to find our way out of this wilderness . . . God has reminded us that 41 IS COMING!
