Operation Christmas Child 2023

How amazing would it be to know that you gave a child their very first Christmas gift?!

The Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child collects shoebox gifts‑filled with fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items—and delivers them to children in need around the world to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way. For many of these children, the gift—filled shoebox is the first gift they have ever received.

This is an awesome way to get your children started giving at Christmas, rather than focusing on the “get,” especially if they get to do the shopping!

Here’s what you can do:

  • How do I pack a shoebox and what goes in my shoebox? Click here to find out more.

  • Time can be a very rare commodity, GO HERE to build your box online!

  •  When does it need to be done by?  National Collection Week is November 13-20, 2023, but you can pack shoeboxes and send them to Samaritan’s Purse all year long.

  • Where can I drop off my box? Click here to see drop-off locations in northern Michigan.

We know that Operation Christmas Child can be such a blessing to both children who’ve never heard of Jesus, their families and our own! Grab a box or just head over to the Operation Christmas Child website and check them out!
